Gastroccult is a CLIA waived rapid test screening for occult blood and ph in gastic aspirate or vomitus. It includes two tests in one. Gastroccult is used to diagnose and manage a range of gastric disorders.
The test includes a ph comparison chart. The ph scale has all relevant information for monitoring antacid prophylaxis. Low levels of blood in samples with bile are verified with Gastroccult, avoiding the need for subjective visual inspection.
The results are reliable and available in just one minute. The test is easy to learn and to teach to others.
The kit includes paperboard slides consisting of standardized, high quality filter paper treated with natural guaiac resin. The paper will turn blue if blood is present once Gastroccult Developer is placed on it.
